| Elfi began with
serious photography in 1993. She learned the techniques as autodidact (studying many books and magazines) and through practice. She began with colourslides with the main-theme travelling, nature, but worked also with B&W films, developping and printing them herself. The first acceptances at the Austrian Super Circuit 1995 encouraged her to continue. In the winter '95/'96 she replaced her darkroom by a computer and since then she is working with enthusiasm on her composings. First she created humourous pictures with penguins and frogs, then she composed pictures of a mystical virtual reality, many of them inspired by her favorite painter Magritte. |
